Project Brahmank

Project Brahmank

Brief History

A need was felt to raise a new Project to give the much needed impetus to the development of roads and infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh. Accordingly, Project Brahmank commenced its raising at Ranaghat, East Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh on 29 Jun 2011. Raising of Project Brahmank was completed by end of Nov 2011 and Project became fully functional wef 03 Dec 2011. The Area of Responsibility of the Project is carved out of the AoR of Project Arunank and Project Udayak. At present, AoR of Project Brahmank is spread over in three districts of Arunachal Pradesh i.e. East Siang, West Siang and Upper Siang District and one District i.e. Dhemaji district of Assam. Working in far-flung and remote areas is a challenge in itself. Unbearably hot climate accompanied with frequent rains, poor connectivity, severe communication problems and lack of basic amenities makes the working conditions further challenging. Despite all odds, Project Brahmank has been instrumental in providing strategic and operational connectivity to the Armed Forces in remote and inaccessible areas. The Project has been working with diligence in some of the most inhospitable terrain in Arunachal Pradesh and in doing so has significantly contributed towards development and integration of these places with the main land. Project Brahmank is fully geared up to take up all challenges that lie ahead through high levels of professionalism, motivation, dedication and selfless service by all ranks. The Project has been rendering yeoman service to the Armed Forces and local populace in far flung, inhospitable regions of Arunachal Pradesh.
